StoneFire Core Process…

Instead of spending weeks in a job site building structures out of cinder blocks and doing the stone work on site, our product will help reduce time on site by more than half and never mind the mess in the yard! With StoneFire Core, contractors will also have the ability to build these units ahead of time and have them all and/or partially finished before the install.

Installation Notes…

FIRE PITS:

  • All footings must be poured 6” below final patio height to hide fork pockets of the StoneFire Core units.

  • StoneFire strongly recommends the use of a LUME or BREEO insert to protect the coping and Core product.

  • If an insert is not used, firebricks must be installed around the perimeter and floor of the unit. Floor should be elevated with 3/8” stone to keep the fire at proper height.

  • Gas pans/plates are also another option and recommended.

FIREPLACES:

  • All footings must be poured 6” below final patio height to hide fork pockets of the StoneFire Core unit.

  • All caps must be refractory cemented to the base of the units.

  • Air space between firebrick and mold at top of firebox must be kept open in order for proper cooling of the firebox.

  • Fork pockets in cap must be closed using refractory cement and four firebricks.

  • Chimney caps are highly recommended to keep firebox dry and to control sparks.

  • Reflective protection plate must be used to maintain firebox warranty.

  • The first 4 to 5 fires must be started slow and kept very small to insure proper break-in of firebox.

  • All of our outdoor fireplaces are designed and tested using the proper flue size for the firebox opening. Location of fireplace, wind, and other environmental elements can sometimes cause a poor draft of smoke. StoneFire is not responsible for situations where a "down draft" occurs because of outside elements.

  • All fireplaces must be veneered with stone prior to starting fire to allow proper draft and heat distribution throughout the unit.

WARRANTY:

  • StoneFire, provides a limited warranty on all our manufactured products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of installation.

  • The firebox bricks will have an extended warranty of three years if our reflective protection plate is used. *StoneFire will NOT warranty the fire bricks if the Reflective Protection Plate is not used.

  • Fireplaces caps and bases are made to installed together, StoneFire is not responsible for the use of any cap or base being installed by itself.

  • Any alterations or extensions to the product will void warranty.

  • Warranty are voided if steps above are not followed.
